About the Company

Sight savers is a global organization dedicated to preventing avoidable blindness and promoting equal opportunities for people with disabilities. In Uganda, Sightsavers operates through various programs and partnerships aimed at improving eye health and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities.

One of the key areas of focus for Sightsavers in Uganda is the prevention of blindness and the treatment of eye conditions. They work to provide access to quality eye care services, including surgeries for conditions such as cataracts and trachoma, as well as distributing medication and eyeglasses to those in need. Sightsavers also conducts outreach programs to raise awareness about the importance of eye health and encourage people to seek treatment.

In addition to their eye health programs, Sightsavers in Uganda is actively involved in promoting inclusive education and advocating for the rights of people with disabilities. They work with local partners and government agencies to ensure that children with disabilities have access to education and are included in mainstream schools. Sightsavers also engages in campaigns to raise awareness about the rights of people with disabilities and combat stigma and discrimination.

Through their comprehensive approach, Sightsavers aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in Uganda and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to live a full and healthy life. Their work aligns with the broader goals of sustainable development and promoting equity and inclusion for all.
